Jesus said, “I will build My Church…” There is a single organization that teaches the entire truth of the Bible, and is called to live by “every word of God.” Do you know how to find it? Christ said it would:

  • Teach “all things” He commanded
  • Have called out members set apart by truth
  • Be a “little flock”

Should Christians celebrate Mother's Day and Father's Day?

These holidays are not religious in nature. They were instituted as special days set aside for the recognition of parents. God does command us to honor and respect our parents. This is the Fifth Commandment, given in Exodus 20:12 and Deuteronomy 5:16. This is reiterated by the apostle Paul, in Ephesians 6:1-3: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor your father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”

There is, therefore, nothing wrong with giving our parents special attention on these days. Actually, it is all the more important in this day and age, when the role of parents is constantly undermined and depreciated by society-at-large.
