Ambassador Youth Camp (AYC) is a special, annual summer program for young people in The Restored Church of God. AYC provides a well-balanced schedule of sports, classes, activities, Bible lectures and personal time, making it a perfect setting for teenagers to build lasting friendships based on God’s way of life!
The two-week program, which took place August 1-15 at Pleasant Hill Outdoor Camp near Perrysville, Ohio, began with a lecture from Camp Director Ken Orel explaining the purpose and value of AYC. Spiritual instruction was a vital component throughout the camp, with ministers delivering lectures about a variety of topics relating to living God’s Way.
Each morning after vigorous physical exercises and a lecture to set the tone for the day, campers performed drills and enjoyed friendly competition in various sports such as volleyball, basketball and rock climbing. The campsite also featured access to a 738-acre lake, where attendees learned the basics of canoeing and had opportunities to cool off swimming—and even go water tubing while towed by a ski pontoon boat. A visit to the Church’s World Headquarters in Wadsworth, Ohio, allowed attendees to see various facets of the work that goes behind a worldwide ministry as well as maintaining award-winning grounds.
With its Headquarters in Wadsworth, Ohio, The Restored Church of God announces the unknown, but ultimate message of hope to all nations. The Church, which has congregations in over 70 countries spanning six continents, freely distributes many millions of books, booklets and articles across the globe annually—many of which are available in 12 languages—and has the world’s most extensive biblically based website, rcg.org.
