The Restored Church of God’s field ministry serves congregations in over 65 countries and territories around the world. Each summer, ministers and their wives travel to the Church’s World Headquarters in Wadsworth, Ohio, USA, to participate in the Ministerial Conference. This crucial weeklong event provides pastoral training, news about the Work, and opportunities to bond together. The 2018 Conference took place from June 8th to June 15th. Each day’s events were streamed over the Internet to remote attendees who could not be present.
Pastor General David C. Pack’s opening Keynote and State of the Work lectures were foundational for the rest of the week that followed. Additional helpful lectures and presentations were delivered by Mr. Pack and other leaders.
Activities held included computer seminars; public speaking labs; formal portraits; collaborative group activities involving writing and public communications skills; a walking tour of the campus; an outdoor picnic at a pavilion; and an evening of entertainment and dessert.
This cherished annual event provides priceless knowledge for pastors and wives, replenishing their “toolboxes” for the year ahead. Its many facets directly contribute to them being able to care for members and prospective members in their pastorates. And this promotes unity, brotherly love, and harmony in the Church’s local congregations.
