2017 Ministerial Conference

The 2017 Ministerial Conference was held on The Restored Church of God’s World Headquarters campus in Wadsworth, Ohio, on May 19-27. This annual event is anticipated by the Church’s field ministry all year long for the opportunities it offers to receive focused training, hear updates on the Work, and spend time together. This year’s Conference had the largest attendance to date. Those unable to attend in person were able to view lectures remotely via online streaming video.

Pastor General David C. Pack’s Keynote and State of the Work lectures set the tone for the rest of the week to follow. One theme of this year’s Conference was becoming better “fishers of men.” Many of the lectures, given by Mr. Pack and other senior leaders, expanded on this concept. Other messages offered insight into developments in various Headquarters departments. Several ladies’ lectures were also given, geared toward helping wives more effectively serve as half of their husbands’ ministry.

Other activities included speaking workshops, technology seminars, a campus tour, and an evening of entertainment and dessert.

The pastoral education offered at the Ministerial Conference helps leaders in the Church become more effective shepherds, which promotes unity, joy, and peace in the Church’s many local congregations.
