Jesus said, “I will build My Church…†There is a single organization that teaches the entire truth of the Bible, and is called to live by “every word of God.†Do you know how to find it? Christ said it would:

  • Teach “all things†He commanded
  • Have called out members set apart by truth
  • Be a “little flockâ€

Drink Your Daily Dose of Water

Hydration plays a vital role in maintaining overall good health. Approximately 55 to 75 percent of your weight comes from water. Every function carried by your body depends on it. Water’s functionality includes acting as the body’s transportation system, lubricant and temperature regulator. Even proper digestion of essential carbohydrates and proteins—essential for maintaining muscle—cannot take place without water. It has been said that a person can generally survive up to three months without food, yet no more than three days without water!

The effect of mild dehydration on young athletes was examined in a United States Department of Agriculture study, which stated, “[R]esearchers…found that dehydration was associated with negative mood, including fatigue and confusion, compared to the hydrated group.â€

Regarding water consumption, CNN stated, “If you feel thirsty, you’re likely to be already dehydrated...[it] can lead to your becoming overheated, exhausted and lightheaded, experts say. You could also develop an electrolyte imbalance, muscle cramps and an increased risk of heatstroke.â€

Drinking the correct amount of water is critical. Yet everyone’s requirements differ. You can use a simple formula to determine how much your body needs: body weight in pounds ÷ 2 = minimum daily ounces of water.

If you often forget to drink water, work on making it a habit. Write reminders, carry a bottle or ask others to help you. Once it is part of your daily routine, it becomes easier to remember. Your body will thank you!
