In addition, the survey reported that 12 percent of U.S. citizens who have no credit card debt also have no savings.
According to MarketWatch, “Financial experts typically recommend that all consumers have three to six months’ worth of expenses saved in an easy-to-access emergency fund, to guard against any unexpected expenses.”
“Saving is all about establishing a habit,” chief financial analyst at Bankrate, Greg McBride, told the financial news outlet.
