Subscribe NowTesco, Britain’s number one retail chain, was forced to remove a pole-dancing kit from the toys and games section of its website after it was accused by a family campaigning group of “destroying children’s innocence.”
The game’s description reads, “Unleash the sex kitten inside…simply extend the Peekaboo pole…slip on the sexy tunes and away you go…soon you’ll be flaunting it to the world.”
The kit includes a chrome pole that extends to 8.5 feet, an instructional DVD showing suggestive dance moves, and a “sexy garter.”
A spokesman for the company stated, “Pole dancing is an increasing exercise craze. This item is for people who want to improve their fitness and have fun at the same time.” The item has since been moved to the “Fitness Accessories” section of Tesco’s website.
