Subscribe NowAn Internet survey of Europeans ages 18 to 30 indicates that they consider the EU to be the "most trusted" institution they know, more so even than other international institutions such as the World Trade Organization or the United Nations. They even trust the EU more than their national governments. In addition, 80 percent of those polled consider themselves "European citizens" and two-thirds believe the EU has a "positive future."
As in past political/social/cultural transformations, the youth of a country or continent have played a significant part. It appears that in Europe, this will happen once again.
